On a non-travel related note. I have finished reading the Great Gatsby (weeks ago) and I was not pleased. I found myself sitting on the 12th floor of what grew to be an unknown place through all of my confusion. I wondered What was the point of this?, Why (didIwasteallmytimeonthis)? Just why? Luckily, the answer came to me and had the sound been waves they would have been much like those off the coast of Seaside at approximately 5PM when the tide is typically at its peak. The sound waves shook me, and they said P oe, do you really want to know the point of this book? Okay. Well, you see, Mr. Fitzgerald Gerald was dead-set on marrying this woman. He proposed before he went to war and she refused unless he somehow became an aristocrat. Mr. Gerald was not sure how to do this quickly so he wrote a couple of books and they brought him success. His love realized she had obviously made a mistake and he married his princess. They lived happily ever after.
I had hoped I heard incorrectly and rather head the story go a little like this: His lover broke off their engagement due to the unbearable financial circumstances they both faced. The engagement was broken off and through his misery new-found inspiration flourished and spread. Mr. Gerald released a few works of his. He grew to become a successful writer. Then he married a princess. They lived happily ever after.
Now, dont get me wrong, I am glad that Aphrodite graced Mr. Gerald and (what would be now the,) Miss. Gerald with her presence. But never mind. Thats all I have to say.
I also finished The Republic by Plato. Finish as in I am finished and by that I mean I am not going to go back and read the chapters that I may or may not have read. I was angered and frustrated while reading that work of art, but that is a rant for another journal entrée on another day. Till then, do tell me how you are all doing, any adventures you have/are going to take or anything at all that you care to share.

I don't think many people your age have ever heard of Thelonious Monk!

"Shut up," he explained.
